S ports at Southern Vermont College are strong and getting stronger. The 2005-2006 season will be our ninth year as an active NCAA Division III member. We are also a full member of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) and the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). Our teams compete against many of the best teams in New England and New York State.
In Fall 1999, the Southern Vermont College athletic program was accepted into GNAC. This allows our student-athletes to be eligible for weekly and seasonal awards and our teams to be eligible to receive an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament.
Outdoor athletic teams play home contests at the College's multipurpose Bill Epstein Athletic Field, which includes softball and baseball diamond and a soccer field. The basketball and volleyball teams play home games at the College's Field House w hich includes a fitness and weight training room, a batting cage, locker rooms, and the gymnasium.
