Southern Vermont College electronically publishes news and information that may include facts, views, opinions, and recommendations of individuals and organizations deemed of interest. Southern Vermont College does not itself guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of, or otherwise endorse information provided by any organization or individual, give advice or advocate the purchase or sale of any product or service. The SVCAlumni.org web site IS AN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION SERVICE PRODUCED BY SOUTHERN VERMONT COLLEGE. BY USING SVCAlumni.org YOU AGREE TO ALL TERMS OF THIS USER AGREEMENT. READ THIS AGREEMENT BEFORE USING SVCAlumni.org. YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE FOLLOWING TERMS.

YOUR AGREEMENT

You are responsible for all use of content incurred by using your Internet address and/or Internet IP address to access SVCAlumni.org. This agreement is personal to you; you may not assign it to anyone. If any provision of this agreement is invalid or unenforcable under applicable law, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. If you become aware of any unauthorized use of your SVCAlumni.org user account, you agree to notify SVCAlumni.org by e-mail immediately.

COPYRIGHT AND INFORMATION USAGE RESTRICTIONS

All news and information provided through SVCAlumni.org and SVC.edu is the property of Southern Vermont College or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright law. Information received through SVCAlumni.org may be stored in computer memory, manipulated, analyzed, reformatted, printed, and displayed for your personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to reproduce, re-transmit, disseminate, sell, distribute, publish, broadcast, or circulate the information received through SVCAlumni.org to anyone including, but not limited to, others in the same company or organization, without express prior written consent of Southern Vermont College. Posting of SVCAlumni.org content to public newsgroups, non-sanctioned listservers, and/or other bulletin boards and/or electronic communications services is strictly prohibited without the express prior written consent of Southern Vermont College. Your SVCAlumni.org user account, and your obligation to this agreement, will continue until terminated by Southern Vermont College or until you notify Southern Vermont College by e-mail. Southern Vermont College may discontinue SVCAlumni.org or its availability to you at any time without notice.

Hyperlinks pointing to SVCAlumni.org should be submitted to the Alumni and Development Office by e-mail. You do not need prior permission for creating a hyperlink to any non-password protected section of SVCAlumni.org; however, Southern Vermont College may elect to disallow any hyperlink to SVCAlumni.org on review of the site containing the hyperlink. Hyperlinks to password protected areas of SVCAlumni.org are in direct violation of your User Agreement as they would require the unauthorized use of User Account information for access to these areas of the web site.

LIMITATIONS ON USE

You acknowledge that SVCAlumni.org may include the views, opinions, and recommendations of individuals or organizations whose thoughts are deemed of interest and that Southern Vermont College does not itself endorse these views, give advice, or advocate the purchase or sale of any product or service. You also acknowledge that the user Account provided to you through SVCAlumni.org is non-transferrable.

WARRANTIES AND LIABILITY

Due to the number of sources from which the information and services on SVCAlumni.org may be obtained, and the inherent hazards of electronic distribution, there may be delays, omissions, or inaccuracies in such information and services. SOUTHERN VERMONT COLLEGE AND ITS AFFILLIATES, AGENTS AND LICENSORS CANNOT AND DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, CURRENTNESS, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OF THE INFORMATION OR SERVICES AVAILABLE THROUGH SVCAlumni.org. NEITHER SOUTHERN VERMONT COLLEGE NOR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES, AGENTS NOR LICENSORS SHALL BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANYONE ELSE FOR ANY LOSS OR INJURY CAUSED IN WHOLE OR PART BY ITS NEGLIGENCE OR CONTINGENCIES BEYOND ITS CONTROL IN PROCURING, COMPILING, INTERPRETING, REPORTING, OR DELIVERING ANY INFORMATION OR SERVICES THROUGH SVCAlumni.org. IN NO EVENT WILL SOUTHERN VERMONT COLLEGE, ITS AFFILIATES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANYONE ELSE FOR ANY DECISION MADE OR ACTION TAKEN BY YOU IN RELIANCE UPON SUCH INFORMATION OR SERVICES OR FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR SIMILAR DAMAGES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. YOU AGREE THAT THE LIABILITY OF SOUTHERN VERMONT COLLEGE, ITS AFFILIATES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS, IF ANY, ARISING OUT OF ANY KIND OF LEGAL CLAIM (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE) IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH SVCAlumni.org SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SOUTHERN VERMONT COLLEGE FOR THE USE OF SVCAlumni.org.

ADDITIONAL LEGAL DISCLAIMERS AND CHANGES IN TERMS

Southern Vermont College may change or add to the terms of this agreement for SVCAlumni.org at any time. Notice of any such change or addition will be made within approved interfaces to SVCAlumni.org and/or by email. By using SVCAlumni.org after any change or addition is announced, you agree to be bound by all such changes or additions.

ADDITIONAL USER RESTRICTIONS

Users of SVCAlumni.org, who state in their registration form that they are graduates of Southern Vermont College and/or attended Southern Vermont College, acknowledge that the information they provide is accurate.

In addition, you agree not to provide access to or use of SVCAlumni.org content, in any format, to anyone who is not a registered friend or alumni of Southern Vermont College. Portions of SVCAlumni.org are available to non-alumni of Southern Vermont College.

MISCELLANEOUS

The Southern Vermont College seal and the Mountaineer Logos are the trademark and property of Southern Vermont College.
